Role Types

NAVIGATION  Tenant Management > Configuration > Role Types

The Roles Types page defines the role types that can be assigned to each tenant partition. This includes predefined role types as well as new role types added by the tenant manager. Once defined, you use the Tenants page to assign one or more role types to tenant partitions. Role types determine what VSA functions are allowed to be assigned to roles in a partition. Within each partition, the set of available user role types displays on the System > User Security > User Roles > Role Type tab.

Machine Role Type

A single predefined Basic Machine role type is included in the list of role types. Machine role types determine what functions are allowed to be assigned to machine roles. Machine roles determine the functions User Portal users have access to.
