Backup Groups

The Backup Groups page creates backup groups used to manage collections of backups on the Acronis Backup Service website.

NOTE   The Settings page sets how machines are organized into backup groups for the entire module: globally for all machines, by top-level machine group, or by organization.

Actions

• Create - Creates a backup group, either globally for all machines, by top-level machine group or by organization. Creating a backup generates a backup group password used to access that machine group on the Acronis Backup Service website.
  • Location Storage - Specifies the storage location for all backups for this backup group. By default only cloud storage is provided. Contact Kaseya support to implement local storage locations for your backups. If local storage locations exist, they can be selected using this drop-down list.
• Delete - Deletes a selected backup group.
• Password - Manages the passwords associated with each back group account name.
  • Reset Password - Resets the password for a backup group account name.
  • Show Password - Displays the password for a backup group account name.

Columns

• Org ID - The unique identifier of an organization in the VSA.
• Org Name - A friendly name used to identify an organization within the VSA.
• Group - The organization and machine group of a machine.
• Account Name - A unique Kaseya-generated account name associated with each backup group you create. Machines are organized on the Acronis Backup Service website by their backup group account name. You can view or reset the password for each account name using the Password menu on this same page.
